Thanks to all who came out to the Old Town Tavern last week. It was another raucous rockin' phat show. On Saturday it was atribute to the "phab" four as the KBB took their turn among the many bands during an all Beatles benefit for the Johns Hopkins Children Center specifically to aaid in cancer research and treatment. Once again the band showed why hey have lasted so long and why the fans keep comin' and the music keeps sellin. The crowd wqs treated to anew take on the Beatles classics, "Yer Blues", "Oh Darlin'" and"Got to Get You into My Life", complete with walk-off drum solo courtesy of Spencer "Sweet Chocolate" Brown.

This week it's down to the NC Crystal Coast and The Dive in Cape Carteret after a long absence, then back to NoVa to the former Champions Billiards, now Bunkers in Leesburg. And don't forget ... the countdown is on to 2008 and "Big Night Baltimore". Check our site for details of the biggest party you're gonna find. Till next time. Ciao!!

Hey all out there in Phatblues land. It's hump day which puts us smack dab between weekends. The last one was good with our first show at Pesce Grande (great fine dining on the right and great sports bar on the left ... check it out!) and an off season trip to O.C. and Castaways for a combo frat formal/public gig. Great show though. This week it's the Oldtowne tavern our favorite place in Fredneck and then a very cool fundraiser at the Ram's Head on Saturday. All your favorite bands (15 in all) will be supporting cancer efforts by putting their spin on your favorite tunes by that fab foursome, none other than Liverpool's finest ... the Beatles! Did you know that someone from Liverpool is called "liverpudlian? BUT I DIGRESS. Come check it out as phat blues deals with Lennon and McCartney. Could it be anything but interestig? Find out!! PEACE.

Well … well... well!!! If you weren’t there … ya just missed it!! What you say?! We’ll tell ya! Talkin’ ‘bout the two concerts at DR. Unk’s in Greeneville, NC (aka G-Vegas!). The shows were electric. The crowd was jumpin’. The sound was pumpin’. There was daincin’ and sangin’ and all kinds o’ carryin’-on. Thanks to Jeremy and Josh and all the staff at the Dr’s Oasis for feedin’ us and being great hosts for the weekend. They helped the KBB bring a "show" to Greenville like it’s never seen. We also send mad props to Show Time Sound, Steve from Wrightway Studios, Phoenix, WordSlave, Craig and Dave from The Almighty Senators, Dominic Selvi, Robert and Cookie from the merch team, Andy and Richard Cox as well as the video teams from B-more and G-Vegas for their contributions to this powerful recording. That’s right … we said recording. (see ya didn’t miss it after all.) You’ll be able to own a DVD and CD of this powerful musical event soon in the New Year. While we were there we also did an interview for Patrick Judy and his guys at East Carolina University who are putting the finishing touches on a documentary of the KBB. We’ll let you know when it’s out and where you can see it.

As for this weekend it’s a RT 50 caravan as we make stops at a new place, Pesce Grande, in Annapolis, and a winter time stop at our summertime beach destination, Castaways in O.C. So if you’re near either end of the Ocean Gateway stop in and see us for a spell and getcha phat blues thang on. PEACE!!
