The weather played havoc with the band last week. Thursday's gig was canceled due to rain and weather contributed a bit to a delayed start on Saturday for the Hyattsville centennial celebration. Only Friday's gig at the AVA ballroom at Duffy's in Hagerstown was unaffected. This week looks to be a bit rainy as well, luckily all the shows this week are scheduled inside. Oh ... where are those shows you say? Well Friday night we're our old haunt Sweet Caroline's in Winchester, always a good time. Saturday night we return to Bunker's and Leesburg, VA after an extended absence. Should be a good time and the band is looking forward to getting back. So it looks like Virginia really is for lovers ... phat blues lovers that is. Come get your fill this weekend from the KBB. Thanks as always! PEACE!!

It was a busy Saturday for the band but despite having two shows that day, nobody at either performance felt cheated as the band ripped it up at the Towsontowne Festival and at Okra's Jazz Festival in Manassas, This week we're doing three shows in three days starting Thursday in town at The ESPN Zone downtown and we'll be sharing the stage with our good friends Fools and Horses. Friday night it's a different kinda thing .. a rare acoustic show at Duffy's AVA Lounge in the Hagerstown's beautifully redeveloped downtown. Get there early for dinner. I'm sure it'll become one of your favorites. Saturday we have the honor of performing at the City of Hyattsville Parade. Our friends from Colours will be there too. Sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday in spring. You pick your spot, take a shot at seeing the KBB this weekend. ... keep on the lookout for the new "live cd's and dvd soon!! Peace everybody!!

Thanks to all who came last Thursday to help us celebrate our brother Wordslaves new release, The Art of Words VOl. 1 at Peace and a Cup of Joe. KBB and Word put on a great show is the small intimate setting. Make no mistake however. This was not an acoustic show ... the house was rockin'. The following night Word and his partner in rhyme from Axiom, Blackroot, joined us at Whitlows for another great show. We capped the weekend in Charles Town at the Tap Room where we could not have been treated any better. This week Saturday is your only chance to catch us. Luckily there are two shows that day. The first is our annual stop at The Towsontowne Festival, if you've been there you know what a good time that is, then it's off to Northern Virginia and a jazz festival in Manassas. It's gonna be a busy but fun day for us and the band will be fresh after enjoying a rare Friday night off. Come on out and join us a show or two. And don't forget Wordslave is not the only droppin' new stuff. The countdown is on for the release of two new KBB live joints, our sixth and seventh CD's. Soon after the first KELLY BELL BAND DVD will hit the street. So let's get the spring /summer festival season off with a bang. As always thanks for supporting us for the last thirteen years. Peace!!
