Rare Downtown Appearance!!!

Low Reg image not enlargeable Hey everyone. So much to talk about. Where to start?! Hmmm...? Well, for sure ya need to know that if you are ever in Richmond you have to check out a show at The Hat Factory! This is the former Toad's, but it's a GREAT venue. We had the pleasure of opening for Cowboy Mouth and everything about the place was great , as was CM. They rocked it hard after the KBB gave Richmond it's first dose of phat blues in three years. That was last Thursday. The following night marked our first trip to the Aberdeen Greene Turtle. It was a really fun night and the club has one of the better house sound systems around. Can't wait to get back there. Saturday it was down to the NC beach and Port O Call our off season Nagshead home. We got to hang out with some fold friends and make some new ones. This is a really cool club which also has a very cool antiques shop as well. Odd combination but very cool stuff to check out.

The big news ... a rare downtown appearance at Ramshead Live!! It'll be us with Flipside and Can't Hang. This is the coolest thing happening for sure this Thursday!! Come on down and join the party. This is gonna be nothin' but a good time and great music all night long at downtown's coolest venue. Definitely the place to be. Then Sunday it's down to National Harbor for the DC Oktoberfest. So what if it's a little early, come on down and get a head start on your annual celebration of the joys of beer and brats and things German. If you haven't seen the new National Harbor ... WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!??? Really this is great space and if you haven't seen it this is a perfect first opportunity experience it with some phat blues as the theme music. Get the first weekend of the fall under your belt in a big way with the KBB. See ya!!

Off To Richmond And Nagshead

low resolution image Not Enlargeable Hey folks. Busy week last week and mostly at home for a change. Had a great time with folks down at the ESPN Zone at the Inner Harbor in downtown B-more last Thursday. Thanks to Matt Davis and the crew at 98Rock for hosting this series and allowing us once again to be part of it. This was a makeup date as the original one was the only outdoor rain of the season. Ironically the following show on Friday at the MAryland Seafood Festival was rained out. We'll get 'em next year though! We were disappointed at not playing but enjoyed the night off. It gave us a minute to rest up for the long overdue return to Dr. Unk's in Greenville, NC, the setting of our DVD. As anxious as we were to get back, the folks in G-vegas were just as ready to get them a dose of phat blues after many months being w/o. Needless to say no one everyone got what they came for as this was one awesome party last Saturday. Sunday was our first appearance at he Reisterstown Festival and hopefully it will not be the last. The weather was beautiful as was the setting. And folks young and old had a great time.

This week it's down to Richmond after a long absence to support Cowboy Mouth at the brand new Hat Factory. This is a great new room. The last time we visited the old CSA capital was was an opening slot for the Wailers. So we're again in good company. The rest of the weekend takes us to The Aberdeen location Greene Turtle for the first time and the chance to blues it up in Ripkenville, USA in a few months. Saturday it's back down Tobacco Road and the last beach trip of the summer as we hold court in our off-season Nagshead home, Port O' Call. We look forward to seeing our Outer Banks friends again that we saw just a few weeks ago at our on-season home, The Pit.

So near or far there's a good chance there's a show near you this weekend. Please come see us say hello and be part of the party. Y'all be good and stay safe. Ciao!!

Recap Of Last Week And This Week's Events
from: KBB

low resolution image Not Enlargeable We're back from the longest stretch of shows this summer-five shows in four days at several Penn St. and other PA colleges followed by our annual two-day appearance at Linganore with the legendary Nighthawks. The shows went well and the weather was kind, although our last PA show at Penn State-Beaver had to be moved indoors. Thanks to all the schools who treated us so great during the week. The Linganore Swinging Blues Wine Festival was a great time as always. A great crowd, including many family and friends, absolutely perfect weather, (the sun came out just as we hit the first note on Saturday), lots of great food and drink and a whole lotta good music made for a memorable party. This weekend marks Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer (booo!). However it also means our annual trek to Nagshead and the Pit followed by K Clingers annual charity Chili Cook-Off in Hanover , PA. These are both KBB traditions that the band and the fans in these towns look forward to every year. So if you're in the vicinity of Outer Banks or central PA (short drive from B-more). Please check us out and send the summer out with a bang and a big one at that. Se ya this weekend. Peace!!
